When to use:
The Parking Steering Assistant feature is helpful when drivers need to park in a tight or challenging parking space. Park Assist sensors surrounding your Volkswagen scan the parking space and determine if the space is large enough for your Volkswagen. You can use it for parallel or perpendicular reverse parking assistance.
Parking Steering Assistant can also help you steer your vehicle out of parallel parking spaces.
How it works:
Once you have selected a large enough parallel or perpendicular parking space you would like to back into, activate the Park Assist feature.
To activate the feature, press the Park Assist button once for parallel parking assistance, and twice for perpendicular parking assistance. The Park Assist button is located in the center console. After activating the feature, you only need to accelerate and brake once a gear is selected.
Park Assist automatically steers the vehicle into the parking space.
